If you are drying or storing 3D printer filaments, Rosahl membranes offer a clean, reliable solution — no heat, no desiccant, and no maintenance. Just quiet, continuous drying at low power (around 3W), making them ideal for 24/7 operation.
Why Choose Rosahl?
Rosahl membranes are trusted in industry to protect sensitive equipment and materials. For filament storage, they offer:
- Compact size – Easy to install in storage or spool boxes.
- Energy efficiency – Run continuously at just 3W.
- Maintenance-free performance – No fans, no heaters, no replacements for up to five years.
Getting the Best Results (important bit)
Rosahl membranes actively lower humidity inside your dry box, then over time gently dry out the filament itself. For faster drying, you can use a heated dry box first, then move the filament to a Rosahl-equipped box for long-term storage.
Important: Do not choose a membrane that is too small for your enclosure. Use the selection table below to pick the right model based on your box size. And remember, a well-sealed box makes all the difference.
If you are aiming for lower humidity levels than those in the table, select the next larger size. For an AMS, we always recommend a M-2J1R or larger membrane.
The process releases oxygen inside the dry box, but tests by the manufacturer indicate these are about 2% above background levels.

Easy starter kits
The standard installation method for Rosahl membrane dehumidifiers is inside the enclosure or cabinet they are to dehumidify. However, for small enclosures, mounting the dehumidifier externally can be beneficial.
