Installation Guide for MDL-Series membranes and optional retaining plates
MDL mounting kits (MDL-3KIT, MDL-5KIT and MDL-7KIT)
The optional Rosahl mounting kits for MDL-Series membranes simplify installation. Fabricated from 3mm thick 304 grade pre-drilled stainless steel, three models are available, one for each size MDL membrane.
Each kit includes a retaining plate and two gaskets. The gaskets are manufactured from 2mm thick closed cell ethylene propylene (EPT) material. If gaskets are supplied locally, they should be made from similar material with a hardness of 8±5mm.
MDL Installation
As shown in the figure, fit the packing to both sides of the dehumidifying element, attach the retainer plate on the top and fasten at around four points around the edge with M4 screws. Care should be taken to ensure the membrane terminals are adequately distanced or insulated from the panel surface.
Rosahl rain cover
When installing in an outdoor panel, a rain cover and environmental protection sheet (VTS) should be used. Avoid interference the rain cover mounting screws. When selecting an optional rain cover with the MDL-3 and MDL-5 use M-5J1R rain cover. For the MDL-7, use the M-7J1R rain cover
